My name is Johan Ivemyr and I live in Dalarna in Sweden Fishing has been an interest throughout my life, and in my teenage years, I started fly fishing. The interest was sparked when my grandfather bought a fly rod for me. He also gave me a box of fly-tying materials, which made my interest in fly fishing grow. I learned to tie flies from a friend's father, who also became a great source of inspiration.
Fly tying and fly fishing have become a lifestyle for me, and I truly appreciate all the fly-tying friends I have made over the years. I focus on tying dry flies, preferably mayflies, using CDC and deer hair. I also tie nymphs for fishing in running water, and my flies are best suited for fishing for trout, char, and grayling, but also rainbow trout.
