Irish Fly Fair

My name is Jamie McMullan, a 28-year-old from County Antrim with a long-standing passion for fly tying. I first discovered the craft at the age of 15, inspired by my late friend and mentor, Roy Christie, whose guidance sparked what has become a lifelong pursuit.

Over the past 13 years, I have developed my skills tying flies for both trout and salmon, fishing local rivers such as the Ballymoney Burn and the River Bush. In the last 11 years, my focus has increasingly turned towards the art of traditional salmon fly tying, where I’ve found a particular appreciation for its detail, heritage, and craftsmanship
